From Austria we will be driving to Salzgitter-Bad and staying with the Heise family for 10 days. We are looking forward to exploring the beautiful countryside around the Heise house, and catching up with the family. How lucky are we - to experience life in a typical German home. At the end of that stay we will be visiting Berlin to stay with Jim's sister and then flying to Paris, France.
In paris we will be staying for a week at http://www.homeaway.com/vacation-rental/p804027 which is next to the Notre Dame Cathedral. Very central! The kids are keen to visit Disneyland and Asterix world (theme parks). The family will also be doing an "amazing race" on bikes around Paris - just to keep Peter current with his riding :)
We are then flying to Faro, Portugal to stay for a week with Jim & Edith in their apartment at http://www.fourseasonsfairways.com/. It is in the spectacular Algarve region of Portugal with its beautiful beaches and stunning scenery. Looking forward to some sun and relaxation (with three kids??)
We leave Europe on 26 October and arrive in Dubai on 27th (My birthday!!). We are staying there for 4 nights and hope to do a desert safari, visit some of the water parks and mind blowing shopping centres (for the sights not the shopping!!) and see some of those amazing Dubai sights. I fonly we could afford to stay in some of the places we will be visiting - oh well!
We arrive back home on 1 November after 6 weeks of travelling.... back to work and school to relax.
